Some people in our community think that if someone looks healthy that they must
be okay. But, you can't tell from looking at someone whether they have HIV. To test
is to know.


About 50 % of African and Caribbean HIV positive people are unaware of their HIV status. Many African and Caribbean people living with HIV/AIDS (PHAs) in Ontario test positive for HIV during the immigration process, prenatal screening (blood tests during pregnancy) or after developing AIDS defining illnesses.
